The European Commission has approved the proposed financial aid for COVID-19 hit poultry sectors, especially the chicken and pig farming. Farmers are required to apply for financial aid and get their application approved. If the application gets approved then farmers will be receiving the following aid packages as follows: pig farmers will receive around €125 per employee and chicken farms would receive €220 per employee. The maximum amount of aid cannot exceed €7,000 per farm.
