Penang suppliers forced to apply for State issued permit

Penang, a state in Malaysia, which is full of seasonal fruits like durian, rambutan and many others. The sellers of seasonal fruit in Penang, especially those who sell durian, must apply for a permit to sell the fruit in Penang under Penang Council law. Enforcement measures are taken against those who operate in the state without a permit. Apart from that, no foreigners are allowed to operate the stall and the traders are not allowed to use polystyrene for packing or displaying the fruit in order to ensure the hygiene of the fruit.
