Entering the harvest season of sugar cane in Indonesia, the production of crystal sugar has begun this week in Lampung province, one of the biggest producing-region for sugarcane in Indonesia. This year, white sugar manufacturers in this province have set the target to collectively produce around 62 KMT of white sugar that is expected to last until the end of August 2020, from their current processing capacity of 7000 CPD (Crane Per Day). Gradually, the white sugar produced in this province would be used to supply the demand from the regional consumers across Sumatra, for both household consumers and industrial level consumers.
