Iran has exported 40 KMT of chicken eggs in the last fiscal year (Mar '19 - Mar '20) although exports to certain countries have been hit by Covid-19 and border closures subsequently.
Iran produces around 90 KMT/month of chicken eggs and the annual consumption stands at 12 kg per capita. This creates a production surplus of 200 KMT/year and hence the country is looking forward to resuming the egg trade as soon as possible especially in Iraq and in the GCC countries.
