Spanish asparagus creates significant competition to Hungarian asparagus in European trading

Cheap asparagus from Spain is a big competition to the producers of asparagus in Hungary. The harvesting of this vegetable is really labor-intensive, most of the seasonal workers arrive from Romania, where the labor costs are lower than it is in Hungary. The harvesting season for asparagus lasts until the end of June in Hungary.
