Iran has significantly improved its sturgeon and caviar aquacultural farming and has produced nearly 6 tons of caviar and 3,000 MT of sturgeon fish during the previous Iranian year (Mar 20th, 2019 - Mar 19th, 2020). The country's caviar production output has been slightly damaged by floods however, the government agenda to expand the aquaculture farms has proven to be effective especially during the hunting ban agreement between countries of the Caspian sea.
