There are not enough supplies for exports as the Myanmar government is purchasing the main food products for the domestic market

During the COVID-19 lockdown period, all industrial zones such as garment manufacturing, marine processing, and agro-commodity productions has stopped operations. The Myanmar government is providing basic food (rice, cooking oil, salt, bean, onion, and garlic) to those who lack a regular income across the country. The government is buying products from the local suppliers and hence, some products, such as garlic and onion, are not sufficient to export this year.
