The prices for onions imported from India to the Malaysian peninsula have been low since the end of the MCO. If the 7.5 kg onion barrel had previously reached 21 million RM, it would now be sold at 10 million RM. The supplier said that this was due to the fact that inter-state travel after the MCO caused prices to fall, as it was easier to take stock.
