Seven Argentine beef and chicken slaughterhouses have independently suspended the export of their products to China, the country's Customs Department (GAAC) said. On July 1st, another Argentine plant had already taken the same procedure.
Amid a wave of vetoes from China, some companies have chosen to voluntarily ban marketing to the country. GAAC also reports that an Australian company has independently suspended foreign sales of beef to the country. The need to increase health control as a result of covid-19 is the reason unofficially alleged by the Chinese government for the temporary suspension of producers in several countries.
