Iran has exported slightly over 15 tons of saffron during the first two months of the Iranian new year (Mar '20 - May '20) which is a decrease of 40% compared to the same period year before.
Saffron exporters are worried about the fact there's a significant decline in the consumption and therefore decline in the global saffron demand caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Iran has exported 251 tons of saffron during the previous Iranian financial year.
