In the first 4 months of 2020. the total Vietnamese fruits and vegetable import turnover decreased by 42%, with a value of 376.9 million USD due to a sharp decrease in demand from traditional markets. However, Vietnam has increased imports of fruits and vegetables from some other countries such as New Zealand, Myanmar, USA, Korea, South Africa. The import turnover of fruits and vegetables from the US was more than the US $ 102.1 million, up nearly 44% over the same period in 2019. The US is the leading supplier of fruits and vegetables in Vietnam with around 27% of the market share.
