Egg-based pasta in Argentina is not as competitive as Brazilian egg-based pasta. The reasons behind this can be mainly explained as follows:
Eggs in Brazil are cheaper than in Argentina in the first place and secondly, Brazil's egg-based pasta represents close to 40% of their internal market, while in Argentina, egg-based pasta is a marginal market.
This means more experienced companies related to the egg-based pasta industry and larger-scale production can be found in Brazil.
