Apricot exports from Malatya, Turkey has started

The city of Malatya is known for the center of Turkey's apricot production and the apricot harvest has just started in the city and will continue another 40 days. The first harvested products are exported to Germany

The majority of apricot from the city are used for dried apricot production and last year Turkey has exported 100 kmt of dried apricots for an export value of 253 million USD. Currently, the farm gate price of fresh apricots is 0.65 USD per kg.
