Mackerel quota for the season nearly sold out

Ministry of Production (Peru) opened the Mackerel fishing season in mid January for 100,000 mt catching quota, of which 70,000 mt corresponded to big scale ships. In March, the Ministry published their latest report that it indicates the fisheries had already covered about 97% of the quota. Many fishing companies are stating to have closed their sales of Mackerel for this year campaign.
