Iranian date industry feeling pressure

Iran, one of the world leaders in date production, is beginning to feel pressure in export markets from increased production in both Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Iran is the second-largest date producer in the world after Egypt and they export about 20% of their production primarily to North America, the EU, Russia, China, and India.
