Myanmar government restricted local travel and business activities from mid-March till May 15 due to the outbreak of COVID19 pandemic. Fruit traders found it very difficult to deliver and sell products at the big city market. The export of tropical fruits decreased due to the cancellation done by international buyers. Fruits such as banana, mango and dragon fruits were sold in the domestic markets. The increase in supply pf fruits resulted in lowering the prices. Currently, the price of mango is MMK 500 per piece and for the dragon fruit, it is MMK 1000 per piece which is almost half of the price of 2019.
