Pangasius fish exports to EU falls due to outbreak of COVID19

Vietnam's total pangasius exports to the EU market reached the US $ 53.4 million in May 2020. They have reduced by 36% in comparison to the last year.
COVID-19 had a significant impact on the lives and commercial activities of many EU countries. The export value to the four largest single markets is: the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Belgium decreased by an average of 30% individually. There has been a consequent negative impact on consumer's spending, trade, transportation, supply chains. This also impacts on Pangasius export to EU negative in 2020. The value of Vietnam Pangasius export to this region is expected to fall more in the coming months.
