Peanut shipments offsetting Easter imbalances in EU

Key peanut producers in Brazil recently advised that chocolate processors in Europe had either advanced or postponed their shipments due to the consumption behavior shifting towards the Easter holiday. In spite of that farmers and exporters had not yet seen a meaningful and negative impact on sale flows. Prices remain strong due to the Brazilian currency devaluation at the spot market, even though most of the volume is hedged on future contracts.
