Cowpea, also know as Black-eyed bean, is grown in the cold season (October - January) in Myanmar. The harvest season is February and April when the weather is dry, cool and less humid. The majority of black-eyed-beans are exported to Eastern Asian countries such as China, South Korea, and Japan. In 2019, South Korea alone imported 25 percent of the total production of black-eyed-beans in Myanmar.
