Groundnut Cultivation ongoing in Nigeria

The groundnut season is on in Nigeria since the rains are fully established in the groundnut cultivation areas across the country and planting is in progress.
A new variety developed by the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) that is resistant to groundnut rosette disease and foliar diseases that usually plagues groundnut production has been introduced in Nigeria.
Production is from mid-June to mid-July.
