Frost seriously reduced the yield potential of cherries, apricots, and peaches in the southern and central regions of Ukraine. Typically, frosts at this time are not so harmful to the gardens of sweet cherries and other stone fruits, but this year the winter was abnormally warm, so the buds started to bloom earlier than usual. Therefore, it is likely that this year the prices for cherries, apricots, peaches, and nectarines in Ukraine will be quite high. Moreover, it will be more difficult to import them, as the cost of logistics has recently risen sharply.
