Chicken producers warn that economic crisis can drive demand down by up to 50%

More than 350,000 families depend of the poultry sector in Colombia today. Producers have warned about the fact that demand for chicken meat has already fallen by over 35% since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and that it could go up to 50% in the coming weeks, threatening the income of thousands of small producers.
