Thailand is one of the leading markets for Vietnamese fruit and vegetable exports. In particular, the aggregate Vietnamese exports to Thailand witnessed a significant increase of 365.83% from the first 2 months of 2020 reaching USD 35.23 million in terms of fruits and agricultural industries. This is no surprise as Thailand is the processing center of agricultural & food products in South East Asia, in which Thai processors purchase raw fruits sourced from neghbor countries to produce value-added products such as fruit juice, ice cream, and more. The Thai market offers some breathing room for Vietnamese exporters amid the lockdowns on other important export markets like the US and European countries.
