Turkey's peach and nectarine exports have started the season at full speed

Turkish exporters had sold 42 million USD worth of peaches to 45 different countries in 2019. However, Turkish peach exports have started the season at full speed with peach exports increasing by 36% from 8 kmt to 11 kmt in the first 5 months of 2020. The export revenue for the same period has increased by 44% to 10.2 million USD.

Russia was the top export destination for Turkish peaches with an export volume of 8.2 million USD, followed by Iraq and Romania with 900.000 and 500.000 USD respectively.

Nectarine exports have similarly increased by 49% and reached 15 million USD in the same period.
