Decrease in the price of pork in Vietnam due to import of Thailand pork

Prices of live hog have plummeted in some localities across the country. Particularly in North Vietnam, the pork prices went down by 1,000 to 4,000 VND / kg. This was before the information was spread about the release of the first batch of Thai pigs in the market. Lao Cai witnessed a reduction of 3,000 VND / kg. In Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, and Tuyen Quang live pigs were traded in the range of 87,000 - 88,000 VND / kg down by 1,000 to 2,000 VND / kg in comparison to the previous day.
