Export of crabs from Bangladesh increased in 2019. Farmers used to grade the catch and sell them at a higher price up to $45 per kilogram during peak season. Due to the outbreak of COVID19 since the beginning of 2020, suppliers are facing the harsh reality of not being able to export crabs to other countries. The suppliers have witnessed a reduction in exports especially for China and South Korea.
