Coffee bean production has continued to dip in Rwanda as most coffee plantations are managed by old farmers who no longer have the capacity to control them properly. In response to this, the Rwandan government is on a sensitization program to encourage young people to partake in the value chain of coffee production. 26,000 tonnes of green coffees are expected to be exported from Rwanda this year.
