ASAJA Malaga, a Spanish agricultural association demanded the European Commission more control and guarding over import of Southern Hemisphere citrus fruits. This comes after several shipments of orange were confiscated with black fungus. In the past years, the imports of citrus fruits have increased 12% in developed EU nations and the Spanish citrus fruits exporters are afraid that this fungus would affect them as well.
