The cost of the production of coconut oil, when producing in a traditional method, is relatively high, which has an adverse effect on profit margins for producers. By applying the centrifugal method to detach coconut oil from the coconut, some companies in Vietnam can produce virgin coconut oil (VCO), the highest quality coconut oil. This method is economical, environmental-friendly, and even more efficient than the traditional production method. This method is in the trial period in some provinces in Vietnam, and will soon be applied widespread.
