Ban on production, importation and distribution of GMO is in the making

It is prohibited to produce GMO soybean and any other grains in Mexico. The Federal government is currently working on a law that will also prohibit the production of all GMO based foods which are either locally produced or imported from outside. This law is expected to come out before the end of the year.
