The prices of grains across west Africa are witnessing slower growth when compared with past years. In Nigeria, Ghana and Togo, prices of maize and soybean have remained relatively stable mostly on account of the good supplies from the 2019 harvests. Restrictions on border trade in Nigeria as a result of the closure of land borders have also contributed to limit market availability.
