Potato production increasing while experiencing export struggle

The potato is the most consumed vegetable in Morocco. Most producers are mastering the technical management of this agricultural product reasonably well and its yield per hectare has been increasing for decades. However, at the export level, the potato is struggling to find its way.
Depending on the season, the dedicated area peaks on average at more than 60,000 ha, or 25% only of vegetable crops and production area and the production is around 2 million tonnes.
