Early-season plums enter the market in Vietnam

Early-season plums are being sold in Hanoi. Mid-May and early-June is the main harvest season, and the early-season plums are usually 5-7 times more expensive than main-season plums due to low availability. Type 1 plums with evenly sized, ripe red fruits are priced at 8.58 USD / kg. Type 2 with smaller fruits are priced at 7.72 USD / kg. Despite the significantly high prices, there is still high demand.
