Colombian peso spike threatens chicken producers. Colombian peso has been suffered a tough devaluation in the past weeks, which has become especially hard due to the global crisis caused by Coronavirus. The currency has devaluated by more than 20% since the beginning of the year, and this is threatening especially chicken farmers, as most of the corn consumed in Colombia and used to feed the animals is imported from the United States.
