Canola sector shows a steady annual growth YOY, but it is still far from meeting all domestic demand for consumption. Expectation in 2020 is to produce 65 thousand tons in the harvest, of which 90% is already sown. An area 15% larger than the one registered in 2019, maintaining the increase pattern of annual growth for that culture.

The campaign has presented good yields, as the weather conditions so far are beneficial for the crops. Farmers are positive about prospecting the upcoming seasons and the contant increasing cropping areas.

Prices are averaging at R$ 95.00, which guarantees a return of R$ 1,000.00 per hectare.

Brazilian domestic consumption currently absorbs the equivalent of 100 thousand hectares, which guarantees production to continue its expansion on the cultivated area.
