The local Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority, KADA, highlighted the importance of using lemongrass straws to replace commonly used plastic straws. Since plastic straws are mainly in use, KADA proposed lemongrass as a possible more nature-friendly solution. KADA, therefore, has begun offering courses and initiatives to encourage farmers to grow lemongrass more widely.
