Hay prices dropped significantly in Turkey with the wheat harvest starting across many production areas in Turkey. The wheat price which has increased to 5.45 USD per bale, has now dropped to 2.5 USD per bale.
The common wheat minimum price was announced by the Turkish Grain Board as 0.24 USD per kg. The farmers in Aydin note that productivity has gone down this season due to the extremely high temperatures in May and now they expect around 500 kg of products per 1,000 square meters instead of 650 kg.
