In order to ensure that the income of inland fishermen is not affected by the outdated infrastructure of the jetties, the Area Fishermen's Association in Malaysia has identified several jetties in Sabah that will be changed to make it easier for fishermen to catch fish, shrimp, and squid. The allocation is timely, as there are other facilities in the area, including ice block stores, which are very actively used for catching in the sea. The sea products, especially anchovies caught by local fishermen, were sold to Labuan, Sarawak and the Malaysian Peninsula, and even reached the Brunei market.
