Some major grain exporting countries like Russia and Kazakhstan are considering to restrict export to ensure enough supply to meet the increased domestic demand. This can possibly lead to supply problems in many of the poorer countries in Africa who are net importers of food products and the climbing prices of wheat and wheat flour will increse the prices of essential commodities like bread.
