Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) banned 24,478 kg of vegetables containing high levels of pesticides, imported from third countries. The exact quantities discovered are 15,273 kg of fresh peppers and 9,205 kg of tomatoes and these quantities are either to be destroyed by authorities or to be returned to the country of origin. The third countries origin hasn't been disclosed by Bulgarian officials however, mainly tomato and pepper deliveries are from Turkey and Greece.
