Exports for fruits increases to North America

Strawberries export has increased by 11% since April in Mexico. The demand has surged in the global market in comparison to last year during the same period of time. North American market has increased the import for strawberries from Mexico by 23%. At the same time, Middle Eastern countries have witnessed a decline in import from Mexico due to lack of air fright and restriction of trade across borders. A similar trend was seen in exports for Bananas. Despite the prolonged lockdown in the country, the exports increased by 8% in comparison to the previous year. Main export destinations for bananas were North America and Europe.
