Although coffee is not a commercial crop in Malaysia, the coffee produced is of very good quality. Liberica coffee, a type of coffee grown in Sarawak, is unique among other coffee species because of its fragrant aroma and its coffee beans are also larger in size compared to regular coffee beans. The Sarawak region is seen as the center for future coffee production in the country.
