EU provides €1 billion aid to Greek farmers, fisheries and livestock breeders

The European Commission has come up with an urgent aid plan to rescue suffering agricultural sectors in Greece badly hit by the consequences of the Covid-19 outbreak and its negative effects within the EU.
The aid from the European Commission has created a plan to subsidize companies from various agricultural sectors with up to €100K and companies from fishery and aquaculture sectors to receive a subsidy of up to €120K.
Greek businesses are badly hit due to the shutting down of hotels and restaurants and Greek farmers are obliged to dispose of their products and the aid is coming as a great rescue plan to save Greek businesses from bankruptcy.
