A month leading up to the Idul Adha holiday in Indonesia, local goat and cow farmers in the East Java province are currently exploring the possibility of supplying their products to the neighboring provinces such as Central Java and Bali as the demand for goat meat and beef is expected to decrease in comparison to last year. This bleak projection is predicated by the decrease of pre-order quantity of goat and cow that they have received so far in July 2020, which has been 40% lower compared to the same period last year. This has been attributed to the slowing down of the economy in general due to the coronavirus pandemic. A number of alternatives are currently being exercised to anticipate the lower demand from the local consumers in the region is to distribute the aforementioned commodities to the neighboring provinces and to try selling the goat and cow to the government-owned enterprises that produce canned meat. Idul Adha (day of sacrifice) holiday is the second biggest holiday in Indonesia that is usually marked by the sharp increase in the demand of goat and cow to be produced into goat meat and beef.
