Huge demand of young coconut in Malaysian domestic market

Although now is not summer in Malaysia, but due to lack of rain these few months the demand for young coconut water is increasing. Coconut water is known to provide freshness during hot days. With the government encouraging domestic vacations at this moment, coconut water demand is increasing due to a large number of local tourists. This causes the price of pandan coconut to increase from RM 4 to RM 5.50/ RM 6 per piece.
