There is an expected decline in the volume of banana produced in Cameroun in 2020. This has already affected the quantity exported in the first quarter of the year by 13,143 metric tons according to figures revealed by the banana producers association.
This decrease is mainly due to a slowdown of activity by the two main operators in the market and the low performance could be due to this year’s dry season which has been harsher than 2019.
Banana is the third export product in the country.
