The cultivation of hop disappeared in 5 of the 9 hop-growing regions of Ukraine. In the last few years, the number of operating hops producers in Ukraine has decreased from 60 to 19. The area of plantations has also decreased significantly. If in 1990 plantations area amounted to 7.4 thousand hectares, in 2019 - 0.4 thousand hectares. This was primarily due to factors of market uncertainty, price volatility and lack of government support.
