Demand for Oranges soars in Kenya farmers receiving more customers than expected despite the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Farmers in the producing counties such as Machakos County have started harvesting and the season is expected to last till September 2020. Before the season traders in the country were sourcing for fruits from regions such as Tanga, Morogoro and Arusha in Tanzania.
