COVID-19 pandemic causes volatility in perishable products

With the COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent quarantine Colombia is going through, volatility on prices of perishable products are now a reality. Some producers have expressed concerns with drops of nearly 10% in products such as potato, and an overall average drop of 8% between the week of 23rd to 27th of March and from 30th of March to 4th of April.
In that same period, tomatoes dropped 13% and onions 9.6%.
Other products such as avocado hass and garlic have dropped by 5.27% and oranges by 8.13%.
