Difficulties for Kampot pepper exports due to COVID-19

The observation shows that the exports of Kampot pepper have been affected adversely in recent months due to the lockdown on European countries, the major markets for this pepper. In 2019, the total exported volume of Kampot pepper to foreign markets occupied about 40% of the total domestic supply. However, because of the closure in these markets, this product has to be stored in the warehouse until the pandemic situation in these markets is under control.
